Holly Chaplin, Soprano
Holly is an emerging coloratura soprano based in Toronto…
She has been seen in the roles of Olympia in Tales Of Hoffmann, Ample Bliss in A Convenient Lie: The James Bond Opera, Semele in SOLTs Semele and Cunegonde in Talk is Free Theatres' Candide. Holly has performed the roles of Susanna in I Due Figaro, Sophie in Werther, and Le Feu/Princesse/La Rossignol in L'Enfant et Les Sortilege with Opera in Concert. Holly was the 2019 recipient of the Stuart Hamilton Memorial Foundation Award for Emerging Artists. Holly made her Toronto Operetta Theatre debut in the role of Josephine in H.M.S Pinafore in March 2020. 2022 brings great fortune with Holly in two roles with Opera in Concert (Parthe in Florence; the Lady with the Lamp and Angel More in Mother of us All) and in June she will sing the role of Gilda in Rigoletto and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi for Camerata De Bardi Opera Festival in Ubbergen Netherlands. Holly is grateful to her friends/colleagues, family and supporters who give continuous love and encouragement, especially over the pandemic.
Veronika Anissimova- Mezzo Soprano
She was an Art of Song fellow with the 2021 Toronto Summer Music Festival.
Veronika Anissimova has been praised for her “lovely presence” (Berkshire Fine Arts) and “impressively quick and precise coloratura” (Ludwig van Toronto). She was among the 2022 Handel Aria Competition’s top 20.
As a baroque specialist, in June 2023 Veronika took part in a workshop with Paul Agnew of Les Arts Florissants, and has sung with the Trinity Bach Project, the Toronto Consort, the Elora Singers, the Peterborough Singers, UofT Schola Cantorum, the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute and the American Bach Soloists Academy (Early Music America Advanced Summer Scholarship).
Winner of the 2014 National Gold Medal in voice performance at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Veronika holds a MMus (2018) in historical voice performance and a BMus (Honours, 2016) in piano and Italian studies from the University of Toronto. Fluent in French, Russian, and Italian, she has served on Opera Atelier’s educational outreach team and enjoys contributing text translations to VMII, a groundbreaking digital resource for early vocal music.
Corey Arnold,
Tenor
Corey is a 2020 and 2024 laureate of the prestigious Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques.
As a Lyrico-Spinto Tenor, Corey magnificently interprets the veristic repertoire without forgetting the romantic operatic repertoire of French, Italian and German. He is also an excellent composer.
A dynamic and versatile tenor, Corey has established himself on the opera stages of Canada, the United States, Italy, Mexico, and France. Corey has been a semi-finalist in both the 2021 Vincero International Italian Opera Competition and the 2020 International Voice Competition of Marmande (France). He was also a finalist in the Clifford Poole Vocal Competition with Cathedral Bluffs Orchestra (Toronto) in 2019.
With over 30 productions to his credit, Corey has become a staple in the Ontario opera circuit, frequently performing with companies such as Pellegrini Opera, Southern Ontario Lyric Opera, Toronto City Opera, and Opera York.
Luc Lalonde, Baritone

Additionally, this production went on winning the OPUS prize for the artistic event of the year 2004-2005. Elsewhere in Canada, Luc sang with Toronto Operetta Theater, Opera in Concert, Orford Arts Festival and Opera Lyra Ottawa.
Mr. Lalonde also sang in Howard Shore's opera The Fly where he worked with the conductor Plácido Domingo, the director David Cronenberg and the composer himself. The opera debuted at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris in July 2008 and was performed at the Los Angeles Opera in September. One month later, Luc sang a first international solo recital at the Palacio Nacional da Ajuda in Lisbon.
